Day 1 Whole 30 Journey

So, yesterday I began this exciting & healthy approach to my body & healing.
My morning began with my thyroid meds & some Estrosense, I then brushed my teeth & did my oil pulling. I know many brush their teeth after but I can't stand morning breath and when oil pulling is done right, one's mouth feels fresh & clean! I then proceeded to make & drink my EFA smoothie which I will now post a recipe for. It originates from Dr. Josh Axe metabolism boosting 3-day detox diet that he discussed on Dr. OZ. I really love it & feel great when I drink this concoction. To make it whole 30 appropriate, I omitted the stevia and I chose to add my, coconut oil, magnesium and baobab powder to help my body. These last one's are not necessary for you, my body needs them so I add them. As always, I am not a health professional, I am not a doctor, these posts are informative & there for you to use as you see fit. I always recommend consulting a doctor or health practitioner of your choosing before embarking on any health related journey!

I didn't sleep well the night before & I woke up feeling full from dinner the night before. I don't eat rice often & pigging out on sushi had it's consequences. I loved every minute of it when I was eating so I am not going to dwell. Water was a good buddy.
I decided to lighten my breakfast menu choice by having my Dr. Axe modified EFA smoothie, and when I got a touch peckish, I chomped on a handful of raw almonds with a banana.A nori snack was part of my morning just because I wanted some crispy goodness.

Lunch was a quick beef sautee with seasonings, that I spread over vegetables. I added lacto-fermented kraut and drank loads of water. Blueberries were snack.
Dinner was delicious mussels in a French style Bourride sauce that I made Paleo/Whole 30 appropriate. I took pictures & will post the recipe at a later date because I have already been asked for the recipe & like an ass I didn't measure.Typical Chef probs. I ended my night with strawberries and loads more water, bedtime supplements were taken & I slept like a baby but my dreams were super vivid & a bit strange.

Bone broth making is in my very near future but for now enjoy this EFA smoothie recipe.
