Holiday helloodles! Fa lalalala lalalala...
Today we continue our DIY December with more Rawfood, Vegan, Paleo friendly, very healthy and delicious protein charms. I have added an older recipe with this new one, and a scrumdidilyumptious key lime one at the bottom from another lovely blog. I hope you enjoy making these as much as sharing and eating them. Get the kids involved with these, there is no baking, it's all done in ten minutes, and there is zero guilt when eating or giving as gifts. Do enjoy and share!
RAW VEGAN JASMINE GREEN TEA & HONEY CHARMS
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cup ground almonds
3Tbsp Ground tiger nuts
1-2 tsp Green tea, ground into powder (less if you want a milder flavour, more if you want it more intense )
1 tsp Sesame seeds (Omit if you are allergic)
1 Tbsp Organic cold pressed coconut oil
1/4 tsp Cold pressed walnut oil
1-2 Heaping Tbsp Raw Organic unpasteurized honey
Method:
-In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients together, well.
-Add all wet ingredients to dry and mix until it forms a slightly moist paste that holds together. Add a touch more coconut oil if it's too dry, a touch!
-Shape into balls and chill in an airtight container.
Makes 8 rounds, depending on the size you choose to make them.
I like mine really cold usually, but the taste of these comes out more when you take them out the freezer 10 minutes before you eat them.
These taste elegant with a mildly sweet floral bouquet, the honey is not cloying at all; it compliments rather than taking over and the sesame gives a giddy crunch.
I made these coconutty Paleo bombs a little while back, I find they have a nice smooth flavour and they are perfect when you want something simple that gives a boost.

I am also including this wonderful recipe for limey goodness, it comes from the blog, Our Paleo Life. I adore all things lime & healthy, these are a nice blend of lime, coconut & cashew. I am including the link after the recipe, should you like to check it out.

KEY LIME PIE BITES
Total time 10 minutes
Author: Kendra
Ingredients:
- 10 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup Almonds
- ½ cup Cashews
- ¼ cup Unsweetened Shredded Coconut or Coconut Flakes
- Zest of 1 Lime
- 2-4 Tbsp Fresh Lime Juice (about 1 lime's worth)
Instructions
- Put the dates, almonds, cashews, coconut, and lime zest in the bowl a food processor.
- Process until mixture resembles coarse gravel.
- While the processor is running, slowly pour in half of the lime juice.
- Stop the processor and check the mixture inside. If it sticks together when you smush it, then you've got the right consistency. If it's still crumbly, add more lime juice. You don't want to add too much liquid because the bites will be too sticky.
- When you've got the right consistency, roll mixture into tablespoon-size balls. Yield varies depending on how much you eat while you're rolling them :)
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week or so, if they last that long.
