Good morning lovelies! I know, no recipes for a bit but two good reasons for it:
Just finished the Master Cleanse and have begun my intense clean eating routine along with workouts, also, my injury seems to be responding well to the Zyflamend I have been taking. I was unable to do much in the kitchen again for a bit but am coming back. It seems I am to learn the lessons of moderation and that healing takes time. Apparently, it is not an athletic event.I have finally gotten gluten free oats at my local health food store and I am incorporating it in my menu this week. I got the recipe off of the Mum's Original (TM) site bcs I am not used to using these types of quick cooking oats and have not had oatmeal in a very long time. (10+ years. Shhhh)
I did modify it a bit and although oatmeal seems like a no-brainer, I am aware that there are some people who never learned how to make this simple and healthy food. As always pics follow and this is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.
Mum's Original (TM) Oatmeal
1/3 C Mum's Original (TM) Oats
1/2 C boiling water
1 tsp organic cinnamon
1/2 tsp Real vanilla essence (neglected to take a pic of this going in with the water)
1 tsp organic coconut oil
10-12 fresh berries of your choice (I ate a few as I went along so I had less)
Method:
-In a bowl pour the oats, add boiling water, vanilla, and cover. Then let sit a few minutes until it thickens.
-Stir in coconut oil and cinnamon
-Place berries on top and enjoy.
-If you need it, feel free to add almond milk but try not to add any sweetener, you don't want it fermenting in your stomach and making you bloated or gassy.
PS. This quick method can only be done with Mum's Original (TM) quick oat flakes.
