Day 11 Self-Love Detox Challenge & Hugging Benefits

                 
Bonjour,

We have hit day 11 and we are looking at the fantastic benefits of hugging!  This is important as hugging is a great part of love and care. We often overlook the simple things in life like sleep, kindness, gentleness, and touch. All are important parts of feeling good, being in an emotionally and physically healthy state. Words, thoughts, and touch have a huge impact on wellness and should not be overlooked. Science is proving that humans need healthy touch to be well and hugging is a great way to get there. Hugging releases the feel good drug Oxytocin, this is the drug that is released in our bodies when we are in love and in like and when we lose that feeling; either through rejection or circumstance, this drug leaves and leads to the very real physical feeling of sadness and heartbreak. We experience a withdrawal of this feel good drug and our system suffers for it. Hugging is a great way to get some of that feel good drug back and it's all natural baby! You only need to hug someone for 60 seconds to feel the effects for several hours. 
           Oxytocin is a biological precursor to love: a timeless sentiment that has been referenced since cultivation of the written word. From religious texts:
                       
It doesn't matter if you are in a relationship, single, happy, sad, only have a fur baby that is yours or maybe on loan. Hugs are good for you and you can get them from loved one's or wherever they show up from, just make sure they are in kindness.
