Ba ha ha ha ha!
Yup, that's the perfect size spoon for eating a "little" something.
Hey Y'all!
Today is cheat meal day info. my sweetpea's & I know how exciting it can be!
Thursday night you may have been all like:
Hehheh, it's funny and fun but there's some seriousness too.
Some people do not even like the term "cheat".
I use it because I don't view it with negativity, I feel like it's a moment of sanctioned naughtiness that I can embrace wholeheartedly; within reason of course.
The No's Listed on Day 1 still apply except for small amounts of dark chocolate and small amounts of coffee. Why dark chocolate? Well see for yourself:
I am going to be responsible & include a link to an earlier post I did on the dangers of chocolate, particularly raw cacao that so many tout as a very healthy superfood. (It also comes with an awesome raw dessert recipe!)
Chocolate has some good points though, which is why it's great as a rare treat. I do not recommend it if you are suffering from any eczema or gluten related issues, as chocolate can be a cross reactive issue. See more on an older post I did about gluten difficulties in this series.
Coffee is tough for people to give up, so I allow for it on cheat days; just keep your intake to max 2 cups for the whole day and the no refined sugars or dairy rules still apply. Also, if you're having eczema or gluten probs coffee is not okay for you to have either. ((Hugs for your loss))
If you know that the food cheat is more temptation than you can bear, by all means don't do it and just repeat a food day you liked the most and reward yourself in a different way. We all know our limits and what seems harmless for one may be too much for another. I don't want you side tracked from this 30 days of positive changes; do what works best for you.
If you're heading out to eat, I found this handy info-graphic for different things to choose from depending on the type of food you're going for. Remember to stick to day 1 No's List. No red meat, no dairy, no sugar, no gluten, no serious junk, etc. The list below will actually be great to use for when you are off this detox but I include it to help with some ideas. Like for pizza, get a gluten-free crust topped with bruschetta and chicken or arugula and no cheese.
If you have a hankering for sweet treats, aim for Paleo or Raw Vegan. There is plenty there to satisfy a craving, I prefer to make my own special something. Just remember to have fun, no guilt, and MODERATION!
As always, leave comments or questions down below; I love to hear all about your journey. Don't forget to subscribe & God bless!
